By creating an account or using Kidence, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kidence.
You may use Kidence only if you are:

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
Free and Premium plans. Kidence offers a Free plan and a paid Premium plan with additional features. You can use the Free plan without paying.
Free trial — no card, no auto-charge. New accounts begin with a 30-day Premium trial at no cost. We do not collect a payment method to start the trial, and you are not charged at any point during it. When the 30 days end, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. You are never enrolled in a paid subscription or charged automatically when the trial ends.
Paid subscriptions. To keep Premium features, you choose to subscribe through Google Play. Only then are you charged. Paid subscriptions are billed through Google Play and renew automatically for successive periods until you cancel. You manage or cancel renewal in your Google Play account — cancelling is not the same as uninstalling the app, and deleting the app does not cancel a paid subscription. If you cancel, Premium remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds. Purchases made through Google Play are governed by Google Play's billing terms. We do not hold your payment details and cannot process those refunds; refund requests must be made through Google Play. Except where required by the law of your country, payments are non-refundable, and partial periods are not refunded on cancellation.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give reasonable advance notice, and any change takes effect at your next renewal; you may cancel before then if you do not agree.
Kidence is distributed through Google Play, and your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Kidence only, and not with Google; that Google is not responsible for Kidence or its content; and that Google has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Kidence. Google is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms to the extent they relate to your use of the app obtained through Google Play, and may enforce them.
Kidence is licensed for personal, non-commercial use by you for monitoring the device-usage habits of children under your legal guardianship. You agree to:

Kidence provides educational insights about device-usage habits. Kidence is NOT a medical device, diagnostic tool, or clinical service. The insights, scores, and risk levels presented in the app are general-population reference patterns and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional. If you have clinical concerns about your child, consult a qualified professional.
Kidence is also not a safety or supervision service and does not guarantee your child's wellbeing or safety. Insights depend on the signals the device's operating system makes available and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate; they are a supplement to, not a replacement for, your own involvement in your child's life.
Kidence, its app, brand assets, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for the purposes set out in these Terms.
You may terminate by deleting your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your access ends and your data is handled per the Privacy Policy retention rules.
Kidence is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kidence. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Kidence harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of Kidence, your violation of these Terms, or your monitoring of any person or device without the lawful authority or consents required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence, including any right to bring proceedings before the courts or authorities of that country.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to the email on file and will require continued use as acceptance.
