1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Kidence, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kidence.

2. Eligibility

You may use Kidence only if you are:

At least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction); and
A parent or the legal guardian of any child whose device you intend to monitor with Kidence.

By registering you represent and warrant that both of the above are true.

3. Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

4. Permitted use

Kidence is licensed for personal, non-commercial use by you for monitoring the device-usage habits of children under your legal guardianship. You agree to:

Use Kidence only to monitor your own children's devices (devices you own or for which you have lawful authority to monitor under applicable law);
Inform the child, in an age-appropriate way, that the device is being monitored, where required by law;
Not use Kidence to surveil another adult, a household member who is not your minor child, or any individual without lawful authority.

5. Restrictions

You may NOT:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Kidence app;
Circumvent security or rate-limiting mechanisms;
Use Kidence for any purpose that violates applicable law;
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Kidence or its data outputs.

6. Insights are educational, not clinical

Kidence provides educational insights about device-usage habits. Kidence is NOT a medical device, diagnostic tool, or clinical service. The insights, scores, and risk levels presented in the app are general-population reference patterns and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional. If you have clinical concerns about your child, consult a qualified professional.

7. Intellectual property

Kidence, its app, brand assets, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for the purposes set out in these Terms.

8. Termination

You may terminate by deleting your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your access ends and your data is handled per the Privacy Policy retention rules.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Kidence is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kidence. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, if no payment, INR 1,000).

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to the email on file and will require continued use as acceptance.
